Freeman Young - "Running Back"

Freeman Young is a singer, songwriter, and producer who just released his debut single "Running Back". Quite frankly, this is one of the most impressive debuts I've heard. The lyrics are heavy and are laid over this dynamic, heartfelt production that mixes grungy distortion, smooth and delicate guitar playing, and cinematic strings. It's wonderful. I can't wait to see where Freeman Young goes next. Check out "Running Back" - out everywhere now.

Moby Rich & Bishop Briggs - "friends*"

Moby Rich teams up with Bishop Briggs for their new single "friends*". I love when a song can be well-produced, have commercial appeal, and also have its own unique character. It's shockingly hard to find and that's what stood out to me immediately with this track. The guitar playing and chord progressions feel like they don't really make sense, but they work so well. Also, it's undeniable that Bishop Briggs is one of the best vocalists in music right now. Her powerful delivery on this one takes it to another level. It's a great listen. Cal Maro - "Juliet"

Brooklyn based artist Cal Maro returns with his new single "Juliet", inspired by Baz Luhrman's Romeo and Juliet. The song immediately grabs you with dreamy guitar and a soft beat under Maro's soulful vocals. It keeps you hooked throughout as it ebbs and flows adding unique percussion, synth, and vocal layers. You can't really label the track as one thing. It's a mix of indie, R&B, soul, and electronic, but done so tastefully. It almost sounds like a cut from Frank Ocean's Blonde, but with its own flavor.
