SAD PARK - "I SHOULD"

The Los Angeles band Sad Park returns with the thrashing new single "I Should", marking their first new release in two years. The track hooks you right away with a propelling guitar line and doesn't let go. Lyrically, frontman Graham Steele offers an honest and personal look at himself during a confusing time in his life, which many can relate to. The song only furthers the anticipation for their forthcoming sophomore album, out later this year. Along with the song comes a DIY music video that features a compilation of fan-recorded shots at Sad Park shows. Watch the video below and listen to "I Should" - out everywhere!

BEACH BUMS - "SHRUG"

Beach Bums are back! Their recent project YEARS was a true standout of 2019 and from that came my favorite song of the year, Ash, so I had high hopes going into the first listen of "Shrug". I was not disappointed. The group's genre-less approach to their music has led them to create a truly unique, authentic, alternative sound and "Shrug" lives perfectly in that world. Accompanying the song is the haunting music video, directed by Zach Rabago, that takes you on a wild and gory ride. THE GREAT DICTATORS - "RIOT ON A DIET"

This song immediately grabbed me. The simple drum and synth line is powerful out of the gate and it grows instrumentally with this sweeping, melodic synth layer and a great companion bass line. However, what really kept me around were the vocals. The low register vocal performance, reminiscent of Leonard Cohen, is married so perfectly to the track. It makes for a must listen and must share. Check out the lyric video below and listen to the song from the band's new album One Eye Opener - out everywhere now via Celebration Records.
