Junkie "Fast Times"

The San Antonio band returns with "Fast Times", the title track off of their upcoming album, out July 26th.

Junkie is a band from San Antonio, TX comprised of singer/guitarist Mark Perez, bassist Daniel Garcia-Moreno and drummer Jonathan James. The trio formed in high school and started putting out garage-rock gold in 2015 with their 'Stupid Feels' project followed by a string of singles and EPs including 'What I Call Luv/UUUUU', 'Emotional Shits', 'Bong Kisses', 'Feliz EP' and finally the 2017 album 'W/E'. Along the way they've amassed a strong following of dedicated fans across the country.

They are now set to return with their follow up album 'Fast Times', out on July 26th via Yippee Ki Yay Records, and recently released the lead single "Fast Times". The single keeps that fast-paced, frenetic energy that Junkie fans know and love, but also shows a real progression in songwriting - featuring a more balanced structure including a killer bridge into the final chorus/outro. I've had the song on repeat since its release and if it's a telling sign of what's to come with the album, I'm sure 'Fast Times' will be a highlight of the Summer.
